It was a great honor for us to welcome a delegation from Upper Silesia<\/strong> to D\u00fcsseldorf recently. In his function as the official representative of the Katowice Chamber of Commerce and Industry<\/strong> (Regionalna Izba Gospodarcza w Katowicach), TIGGES partner Dr. Dominik Wagner, LL.M., EMBA<\/a> welcomed the delegation, which consisted of high-ranking representatives from politics, science, business and administration. Among them were the Deputy Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship Leszek Pietraszek, the Polish Consul General Rafa\u0142 Marek G\u0142uszko and Vice Consul Bart\u0142omiej Ksi\u0105\u017cek from the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Cologne, members of the Polish parliament, representatives of the regional council, trade union and company representatives as well as representatives from mining authorities and related research. On the German side, the delegation was supported and accompanied by representatives of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. <\/p>\n

The focus of the delegation’s two-day program was the transfer of knowledge about the experiences of the Rhenish mining district and the Ruhr region with the transformation of the energy industry and the associated structural change. The legal and economic framework of this transformation plays a central role. The open dialog and bilateral exchange on these topics are of great importance and we are delighted to have been part of this forward-looking discussion. <\/p>\n
