The German SME sector is regarded as the backbone of our society; around 15,000 of these companies have a turnover of over EUR 10 million and are owner-managed. A large proportion are involved in mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Growth strategies and the optimization of their own business model are occupying the owners. In addition, there are the challenges posed by digitalization and a shortage of skilled workers, as well as the effects of various crises that have been impacting the supply chain, energy costs and much more for two years now. <\/p>\n
