We welcomed over 100 guests from business, politics and society to the German-Turkish business reception, which we organized together with NRW.Global Business and the German-Turkish business association ATIAD.
Our esteemed colleague Dr. Kaya Köklü, who heads the Turkish Desk at TIGGES together with our Salary Partner Bahar Beyaz, welcomed the guests and emphasized in his opening speech not only the importance of economic relations, but also the importance of cohesion and dialogue in our multicultural society. These thoughts ran as a common thread through all the contributions and united the evening’s participants.
Felix Neugart, Managing Director of NRW Global Business, gave an insight into the activities of his organization and shared personal impressions of economic relations, including the extremely dynamic Turkish start-up community, which is increasingly active in Germany and NRW in particular.
Aziz Sarıyar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ATIAD, also addressed warm words to the participants.
A special highlight of the evening was the speech by the Consul General of the Turkish Republic in Düsseldorf, Ali Ihsan Izbul. His participation and speech were a great honor for us.
Thilo Pahl, Managing Director of AHK Türkiye, presented an informative overview of current data, facts and trends in German-Turkish economic relations, which created the framework for lively discussions in the further course of the evening.
Before the networking part of the evening, Esma Gulten, award-winning founder and CEO of the successful start-up Gizil, Oktay Erciyaz, Managing Director at goetzpartners, Aziz Sarıyar, CEO of ATIAD, and Bahar Beyaz, Salary Partner and Co-Head of the TIGGES Turkish Desk, shared their experiences of German-Turkish cooperation in a panel discussion. The inspiring dialog was moderated by Timur Kurt, Country Manager for Turkey at NRW Global Business.
The lively discussions continued afterwards at the get-together and were accompanied by the wines of our event supporter Kavaklıdere Şirketler Grubu and the wonderful music of the duo Kazım-K. Kalaycı & Ozan Koç, who delighted the guests with songs and arrangements of various Turkish styles and genres.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to this successful evening. It was a great pleasure that the German-Turkish business reception took place at our company and we look forward to many more meetings, discussions and exchanges in the still young year 2024.
