As part of our TIGGES goes Green initiative, we recently held an inspiring internal Lunch&Learn training course. Our colleague and Counsel Gisela Hebrant gave an exciting presentation on the question of “What is organic food?” and introduced the legal basis of the EU Organic Farming Regulation. Many of us have already asked ourselves what the label “organic” actually stands for and how to find your way through the jungle of organic labels.
It was very informative for everyone to learn about the strict requirements and specifications behind the certification of organic products. Gisela Hebrant clearly showed how the legal regulations are structured and what central role sustainability and environmental protection play in the labeling of organic food. Thank you very much, dear Gisela Hebrant, for these exciting and informative insights!
With the TIGGES goes Green initiative, we are striving for more sustainability in our day-to-day work. In addition to training measures such as this one, we are taking other internal measures to make our work more environmentally friendly. We see education and awareness of sustainability issues as an important part of our strategy – and formats such as Lunch&Learn goes GREEN make a valuable contribution to this.
We look forward to the next steps in our sustainable journey at TIGGES!
