Our partner Micaela Schork, LL.M. recently represented our law firm at the annual conference of the DACH European Lawyers Association in Istanbul. Together with Dr. Michael Tigges, LL.M., M.M., she took part in the renowned event, which focused on professional exchange across national borders.
In her presentation “From Code to Code“, Micaela Schork highlighted the new AIAct and its far-reaching implications for the digital transformation in Europe and discussed the need for regulation, the precise content of the regulations and the resulting obligations for companies. The lively discussion that followed showed the great interest of the expert audience in this complex and forward-looking topic.
Micaela Schork also moderated a panel that brought together European perspectives on AI regulation. She discussed the different approaches and challenges in dealing with artificial intelligence with colleagues from Switzerland, France and Turkey.
The conference offered an excellent opportunity for professional exchange – with inspiring presentations on the topic of AI and copyright – and the chance to gain valuable new impressions and contacts.
We would like to thank the President of the DACH organization, Stefan Gurmann, and his team for the excellent organization of the event and for the successful supporting program, which brought us closer to the beauty of Istanbul during a Bosphorus boat trip and a city tour.
