German-Polish Business Dialogue

Review: 4th German-Polish Business Dialogue in North Rhine-Westphalia

Around 130 guests accepted the invitation to the Design Office in the Ruhr Tower – and made this year’s Business Dialogue a real success. Above the rooftops of the Ruhr metropolis of Essen, it became clear that German-Polish cooperation is not just a political commitment, but a living economic reality.

The focus was particularly on energy security and security & defense – topics that are currently becoming increasingly important and offer enormous cooperation potential for companies in both markets. The discussions were open, practical and future-oriented – with a clear message: Germany and Poland are connected by more than geographical proximity. There are common interests, industrial strength and a growing innovation environment.

A special highlight from our point of view: the intensive participation of entrepreneurs – in the panels, in the Fireside Talk with Arndt G. Kirchhoff and, above all, in the personal exchange at the Speed Business Mixer. It is precisely these direct discussions that make the difference and create concrete points of contact for cooperation.

As a partner of the event, we are particularly pleased that our briefing session in the morning of the conference was met with great interest. Our partners Dr. Dominik Wagner, LL.M., EMBA and Tomasz Baron, LL.M. provided practical insights into the legal, tax and financing-related framework conditions for market entry and business expansion in Germany – a topic that is currently highly relevant for many Polish companies.

We would like to thank the AHK Polska, the IHK zu Essen and the SIHK zu Hagen for their excellent cooperation and organization of this groundbreaking conference as well as the other partners of the event: Katowice City – live, work & invest | Konsulat Generalny | KSSE | NRW.Global Business | PKO Bank Polski | Polish Energy Storage Association PSME | Silesian Voivodeship | Business inSilesia – and all speakers, participants and guests for the intensive exchange.

The 4th German-Polish Business Dialogue has shown once again: NRW is a strong bridgehead for economic cooperation between Germany and Poland – and SMEs on both sides are ready to actively take advantage of these opportunities.

We look forward to continuing to actively shape this dialog.
