Aleksandra Bratic studied law at the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel, specializing in commercial law with a particular focus on tax law. During her studies, she gained practical experience during an internship with a specialist tax lawyer.

She completed her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf, focusing on commercial law with a particular emphasis on tax law and international aspects. As part of her legal traineeship, she worked in the tax law team of a major international law firm in Düsseldorf, where she worked in various areas of corporate tax law for national and international medium-sized companies.

Aleksandra Bratic also gained international experience during her elective position at a German-American tax firm in New York City. There, she worked closely with German and US colleagues and was involved in advising medium-sized companies and private individuals. Her work included, in particular, issues relating to the tax treatment of foreign assets, inheritance tax advice in inheritance cases with a foreign connection and issues relating to family offices. She was also involved in correspondence with US tax authorities.
