The BVMW hosted the Future Day for SMEs 2025 in Berlin, celebrating the association’s 50th anniversary, among other things! Micaela Schork, LL.M. and Patrick Jörg Kaatz were on site for TIGGES at the big networking and innovation meeting. Whether in keynotes by well-known personalities from business and politics, in specialist presentations, at the exhibition stands, in table captain rounds or in speed dating formats – the Future Day offered a varied program full of impulses, innovations and exciting encounters.
At the trade fair:
Visit to the Polish country stand – of course, a must with our focus on German-Polish legal relations.
Exchange with exciting companies, start-ups & initiatives – e.g. Mittelstand-Digital, with valuable insights into AI, IT and cyber security.
A small but nice personal highlight was the stand of Auerbachs Keller from Leipzig – after all, it’s not every day that you suddenly end up in the middle of Goethe’s Faust at a trade fair for SMEs.
In the sessions:
The event formats were also diverse and inspiring: Mica took part in the networking event “Strong Women – Strong SMEs”, while Patrick gave an exciting presentation on how augmented reality is increasingly finding its way into marketing and meetings – a fascinating perspective beyond classic video calls.
The roles changed during the reverse pitch: Here, medium-sized companies pitched for the support of start-ups – a nice change of perspective!
We are particularly pleased that we have been part of the BVMW’s newly established legal commission for some time now – a committee that is of course particularly important to us as a law firm. A meeting of the members of the committee took place on site, which we naturally also attended.
The packed day ended with intensive discussions at the evening reception.

Our conclusion: An all-round successful Future Day – we will definitely be back next year!
