TIGGES advised the Czech investment group DRFG Investment Group and its telecommunications company, Suntel Group, on the acquisition of a majority stake in GP-Projekte Deutschland, a German specialist in fiber-optic network expansion.
The acquisition further strengthens Suntel Group’s position in the German telecommunications market and marks another important step in the group’s expansion in the DACH region. Suntel Group operates in six European countries and forms part of DRFG Investment Group’s telecommunications activities.
GP-Projekte Deutschland brings extensive expertise in fibre-optic network engineering as well as project capacities in Portugal. Combined with Suntel Group’s international platform, the transaction creates a strong basis for further growth in the German and wider European digital infrastructure market.
The interdisciplinary TIGGES team provided comprehensive advice on all matters of German law related to the transaction. The advice included, in particular, legal due diligence, the drafting and negotiation of transaction documentation, and support during the signing and closing.
Many thanks to DRFG Investment Group and Suntel Group for their trust and the excellent cooperation. We wish them every success with this next step in their growth journey.
TIGGES was recommended for the mandate by Czech lawyer Juraj Alexander, founder of LEX&R, who was also involved in the transaction on the buyer’s side.
